Pa-oh people were later to enter Burma than Mon people. But they were earlier than Burman and Shan. According to historians, Burman and Shan later entered increasingly so that Pa-oh and Karen moved towards the South and then resettled in Thatung.
Perhaps it was around 9 century BC when Pa-oh people settled in Thatung. They permenantly settled there and established Thatung. In Thatung 158 kings of Pa-oh dynasty and 18 kings of Pa-oh and Mon mixed race dynasty reigned.In Kakuthan god’s time, king Thurinaga reigned and the queen was Nagawizar. Their father was Zawgy wizard and mother was a female dragon. In Thatung, they built villages and towns and became as Pa-oh people. King Thurinaga’s mother lived long and was 177 years old. His dynasty had 384 kings. In Kawnagon god’s time, king Shwe Olah reigned in Thatung and lived 156 years. The queen was Milah. She lived 150 years.
In Kathapa god’s time, king Mahathara reigned in Thatung. Mahathara worshiped god Budda. In the time of king Mahathara, Pa-ohs were there in Thatung. From king Mahathara 577 kings reigned . King Mahathara lived 199 years. The queen was Mi-u. Then 8 kings of Thaharaza dynasty reigned till Thurias and a dynasty.
In Gothama’s time, 158 kings of Pa-oh dynasty and 18 kings of Pa-oh Mon mixed race dynasty reigned in Thatung”( a note from “Thatung and Yangon History” written by U Phyuof Nyongwaing, Thatung).
Looking at above evidence, one can know that throughout gods’ times kings of Pa-oh dynasty reigned in Thatung. Moreover, the evidence supports that Pa-oh originally lived in Thatung.
